At The Old Parsonage Didsbury.

It’s a dream to be hanging my photos here, a local place steeped in history that’s also close to my heart. I’ve been visiting The Parsonage and Fletcher Moss gardens since I was little. Many of the photos on display were shot in the surrounding gardens.

The exhibition is called The Rising. I’m fascinated by the grace and resilience that plants and flowers embody, how they harness both darkness and light to grow. The seeds germinate in the darkness, building their strength to break through into the light. I see this process reflected in human struggles, how darkness and challenges can accelerate growth. In the garden, with my camera, I’m in my happy place. Here I feel energised and I find inspiration. I believe when we reconnect to nature, we reconnect to ourselves. Nature grounds us in its wise teachings but also mirrors our own resilience. It shows us what is possible, how to adapt and always find ways.
